In a new initiative the CJCA is offering 90 minute “Introduction to Hardball” sessions for Year 5 Boys moving into Hardball grades for the first time in the 2020-21 Season.
Getting used to wearing protective gear and having the confidence to cope with a Hardball environment led the CJCA to create these sessions to be held at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance Centre at Lincoln (Indoors) during the first week of the upcoming schools holidays.
Two sessions will be offered each day on Monday the 28th and Tuesday the 29th of September with players introduced as to how to put on their own gear, learn to be agile when wearing gear and having a bat and bowl in a controlled environment. Players may do one session or if they wish a session each day to embed what they learn and it is hoped that this assists them when they enter the training and playing environment.
Sessions are $20 and are limited to 24 boys at each time slot
