Changes for 2020/21

CJCA Grade Summary as at 23 April 2020

There is only 1 change for the 2020/21 season.

There will be a new Year 6 Premier grade which will play from 12.30pm on a Saturday afternoon. This grade will play the same rules as morning Year 6 grades but wIll allow for better venues to be used.
There will be a continuation made of the change that was made early in the 2019/20 season for Year 7 & 8 morning grades that there will be a 6 ball maximum for each over to allow for following games to start as close to the scheduled times as possible.

PREMIER Year 7 & 8 Full Grade 11 May 2020

Please note the only change to rules for the 2019/20 season is that batters who are dismissed during the Grace Period (first 6 balls) may not return as a retired batter should they go on to face 30 balls.

One of our defining goals is Guaranteed Participation. As with all our grades, the development of the player and enjoyment of the game are seen as more important than the result. All players should get the opportunity to bat, bowl and as wicketkeeper. We ask that coaches give all of the kids the opportunity to succeed equally throughout the season.
