Registrations for the CJCA Girls Preseason Skills Programme will open in August.

The CJCA runs a Pre-season Skills Program to assist Girls to get into Cricket mode before the start of the season.

We are excited to announce we are once again partnering with TCR Coaching https://www.trccoaching.co.nz/ to deliver a wide-ranging Programme to help Girls develop skills to put into action in just over a week when the 2026/27 season begins on the 17th of October

There will be THREE formats of pre-season training  to be held at the Sir Richard Hadlee Centre beside Hagley Oval between the 7th & 9th of October (Wednesday – Friday at the end of the School Holidays) sessions will be over three days with staggered programme length based on the age of the participants each day.

The coaching team will work with individuals based on ability to ensure that the below programmes are delivered to suit the needs of the participant, so all degrees of current ability/experience are encouraged to participate.

In addition to Hardball work for older Girls there will be Incrediball work for lesser experienced girls within the sessions and a programme focused on providing younger girls currently in Mixed teams or in our MINI MAGS grade an opportunity to develop thier skills.

The Pre-season Skills Program is also ideal for girls starting in our Girls only grades to get used to wearing gear.

12.30pm-1.30pm – Mini Mags and Girls year 4 and under

1.30pm – 2.45pm – Junior Girls (Division 4 Year 5/6 Incrediball)

3pm – 4.30pm Hardball (Division 3 Year 7/8 Hardball & January Festival players)

NEW in 2026 – 4.30pm to 6pm Hardball (Division 3 Year 7/8 Hardball & January Festival players)
