The upcoming season will provide numerous opportunities for Youth umpires to officiate at a wide range of Festival and Events.
All appointments will attract the $50 reimbursement from the CJCA per day.

CJCA Umpiring Availability 2023-24
Qualifications
Please indicate your current qualification and if you would be interested in gain further qualifications as this may assist the Umpires Association to provide additional training opportunities.
CJCA Spring Festival (Boys)
Sunday 29th October, 5th November and 12th November 2023 (Reserve Day 19th) – minimum 15 umpires required
Umpires sought for the traditional Year 6 (Polo Grounds), Year 7 (Warren Park) and Year 8 (Burnside Park) Festival games.
CJCA Spring Festival (Girls)
Sunday 26th November & 3rd December 2023 – min 4 assistants/umpires required
Festival Assistants/Umpires required to assist in both Skills Sessions (Morning) and Umpiring games in the afternoon at St Albans Park – great chance to work with keen young female cricketers in a supportive environment.
January 2024
Canterbury Primary Festival (up to year 8 Boys)
8-11 January 2024 – at least 9 umpires required
CJCA will be hosting the highest Tier of the new Canterbury (top of the South). This event will feature 3 CJCA teams and 5 other teams playing over 3 ½ days.
The CJCA will be seeking at least 9 umpires for 4 days (Monday to Thursday) to form in effect the 9th “team”
Games will probably be played at Burnside Park
CJCA Girls Invitational Festival
15-17 January 2024 – Wednesday to Friday – minimum 8 umpires required
At least 8 preferably female umpires are sought to control games at the CJCA Invitational Girls Festival which will this year be held at Burnside Park – Youth male umpires may apply to be appointed. We expect to have 8 teams involved in this event.
Two 20/20’s on Wednesday & Thursday – one of Friday approx. 2pm finish Friday
February/March 2024
CJCA Summer Festival (Boys)
Sunday 18th & 25th February and 3th March 2024 – minimum 15 umpires required
