The CJCA has named two teams of its teams to participate in the expanded 58th South Island Primary Schools Cricket Tournament to be hosted by Canterbury Country between the 4th & 8th of January 2021.

The below teams will play in the traditional SIPST grade which will feature 12 other teams from around the South Island. The CJCA will also be naming an additional THREE Year 8 teams to compete in the expanded Tournament held on the same dates and TWO younger current year 7 teams who will test themselves against slightly older boys during the new event which follows the same format as the traditional SIPST. This event at this stage could feature up to 16 teams.
We thank all the coaches and managers of this current Year 8 intake who have assisted in giving these further opportunities to develop as cricketers over the past 3 years.
The CJCA will announce is Female representatives in coming weeks for the Girls SIPST which will be held in late January in Christchurch.
The CJCA Red & Black teams start their buildup to the event this Sunday (29th November) with two 20/20 games against both of the two Canterbury Country teams who will playing in the main January event. These games are to be played at Edgar MacIntosh Park from 10am – the CJCA thanks the Merivale-Papanui Cricket Club for hosting these matches.
Longer format games will be played the following week in Rangiora with the match preparation completed with two 20/20 vs Mid Canterbury (home @ Medbury) and South Canterbury (away) on the 13th of December.
