The CJCA has now opened registrations to be involved in Teams for the various Festivals that we are part of in January 2024.

Players must register by the 9th of November (DATE EXTENDED) – teams will require Parent Coaches/Managers.

Summary of Events (all based on 2023 School Year)

Year 8 – Three 10 person teams to play in the Tier 1 Cantebrury Festival in CHRISTCHURCH – remaining players will be placed in teams for the Tier 2 Canterbury Festival to be played at Mandeville in North Canterbury.

Both Festivals start at 2pm on the 8th of January and finish on the 11th of January

Year 7 – The CJCA wishes to send AT LEAST ONE TEAM team to play in a Festival in Westport as well as additional teams to play at the Mandeville Festival.

Both Festivals start at 2.pm on the 8th of January and finish on the 11th of January and will be a blend of 20/20 and 40 over games.

Year 6 – The CJCA will participate in a three day Festival with Canterbury Country and other Districts between the 15th & 17th of January.  Games will be 20/20 with a grace period on Days 1 & 2 and no grace Period on Day 3.

ESTIMATED COSTS

Player fees for the Christchurch (Tier 1) Festival (includes event fees, playing shirt, cap, accommodation and meals) will be $400 (tbc)

Cost for the Mandeville Festival (Year 7/8) will be $160 (tbc) this will include event fees (team entry), CJCA playing shirt and Festival Cap.  Should current Year 8 still fit their Playing Top from last January the Fee can be reduced to $110

Cost for the Buller/West Coast Festival (Year 7/8) will be $300 (tbc) this will include accomodation, meals after lunch on Monday 8th until end of Festival (11th), event fees (team entry), CJCA playing shirt and Festival Cap.  Should current Year 8 still fit their Playing Top from last January the Fee can be reduced to $250

Cost for the New Year 7 Festival will be $70 which is soley the fee for the event – players should where what they normally wear for CJCA Festivals either whites or their Club gear and CJCA Cap.
