Registrations are now open for self-nomination for CJCA teams for the 2026 Christchurch Girls Invitational Festival to be held in the New Year.
Players may register for either the CJCA or Canterbury Country teams depending on where they reside or who they play for on Saturdays – it is the players choice.

The CJCA intends to co-ordinate multiple even teams to participate in this event which will take place at Christchurch Club grounds between the 12th and 14th of January 2026.
Girls who started the 2025/26 season as Year 6, 7 or 8 pupils are eligible.
It is expected that these Girls would be playing in Division 2 or 3 or in some cases as part of Mixed teams in other CJCA Hardball grades. This is a Hardball Festival.

Year 6 players are eligible but priority will be given to Year 8 then 7 then 6 should numbers dictate. This is a Hardball Festival
The Festivals will consist of FIVE 20/20 games and the CJCA will operate a POD system which will see the Girls rotate through batting and bowling positions so all girls have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the team performance.
EARLY REGISTRATION MAY ASSIST THE CJCA TO DEVELOP PLANS FOR THESE GIRLS TO DEVELOP PRE-EVENT IN READINESS FOR THE FESTIVAL – REGISTRATIONS WILL CLOSE ON MONDAY THE 1ST OF DECEMBER.
We aim to name teams by the 12th of December (1 month out from the event)
Estimated cost for this Festival is $135 – if you already have a CJCA shirt this fee can reduced by $50
