2025-26 Girls Cricket Festivals
CJCA GIRLS SPRING FESTIVAL
23rd & 30th November 2025
Confidence. Connection. Cricket — Her Way
This year’s CJCA Girls Spring Festival – “Cricket Her Way” will be held on Sunday 23rd & Sunday 30th November at St Albans Park.
The festival is open to all girls in school years 3-8, both those who play cricket already and those wanting to give cricket a go for the first time.

The four options on offer cater for all abilities, including an opportunity for mums to get involved as well!
Bring the whole family along for a great day out – we’ll have the Canterbury Cricket inflatables available, and the sessions will be facilitated and umpired by our fantastic youth coaches.
Mini Mags – Year 3/4 -10am-12pm

A fun session for our youngest players, this will combine drills with some fast-paced games. Perfect for those girls currently playing in the CJCA Mixed T16 grades or “Mini Mags” Girls Div 5 grade, or for their friends wanting a taste of the game.
Year 5/6 Incrediball – 10am-12.30pm
The equivalent of the CJCA Girls Div 4 grade, these girls will get the opportunity to play with and against some new friends in a game of pairs cricket.
With the heavier “match” incrediball, players will wear protective equipment in this transitional format which still keeps all players engaged and involved.
“Have a Go” Hardball (open age) –
New for this year! 1pm-3pm
We’re looking at getting mums/aunties/grandparents involved in our new “Have a Go” Hardball session alongside girls wanting their first taste of hardball. These could be girls currently playing in CJCA’s Div 4 Saturday grade, or first-timers. This will be a “Double Wicket” format where we have pairs batting together in a fast-paced, modified version of the game.
Year 6, 7 & 8 Competitive Hardball – 1pm-4pm

This is aimed at girls playing in CJCA’s Saturday mixed hardball grades or our girls Div 3 grade.
We encourage girls in years 6,7 & 8 who are going to register for our January Invitational Festival to take part in this Spring Festival.
As well as a chance to get to know others who will be playing in that festival, it will give these girls valuable experience playing on a grass pitch in the lead-up to the tournament, and is a great opportunity to test themselves against other competitive local players. We will also use these two Sundays of cricket to get a good look at players and their abilities in order to put teams together for January.
The cost of $30 per player includes both days, and covers the costs of the coaches/umpires, gear etc.
It must be paid into the CJCA bank account: 06 0665 0202125 00 before Sunday 23rd November. Reference – Girls Spring, “Surname”
If any parents would like to help with scoring etc. please let us know.
Please register here before Wednesday 19th November.
