CJCA Fleming were the top performing team at the recent Canterbury Country organised Year 6 tournament at Mandeville – all the CJCA boys took a while to adjust to the grass wickets with the majority of CJCA Hardball cricket played on artificial wickets.  Fleming finished with 49 competition points to finish top ahead of Country South, Country North and South Canterbury.

Callum Samson was the top run getter of the CJCA players finishing with 79 runs at an average of 39.50 (4th in the Tournament) closely followed by Tom Turner, Matthew Brown and Ben Stewart who all finished with averages in the 30’s.  Harry Beaglehole was the equal top wicket taker at the Tournament with 9 wickets including the best figures of 5/3 with both Carter Rhodes and Thomas Stewart both making the Top 10 with 5 wickets each.
