This page provides information for CJCA players wish to participate in Festivals held in the 2022 January Summer School Holidays.

NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE ON THE 9TH OF NOVEMBER
SOUTH ISLAND YEAR 8 FESTIVALS
These festivals provide an opportunity for Year 7 & 8 Boys to play in either the traditional South Island event (Year 8 only eligible and only two 11 person CJCA teams selected) or an additional Festival which aims to ensure as many Boys as possible have an opportunity to play in an event before they leave Junior Cricket and move into Youth Cricket and for the Year 7’s give them a quality event to participate in before they move into Year 8.
Boys are now able to nominate themselves to be included (the CJCA will aim to include everyone who self-nominates this may necessitate blending some Year 7 and 8’s if numbers need this) )- in 2022 Year 7 and 8 (2021) Boys are eligible to play in the Festival in Christchurch – please note ONLY Year 8 Boys are eligible for the Alexandra event this is the traditional South Island Festival – Alexandra 10-14 January 2022.
Alexandra Festival – $350 (only 2 CJCA teams) – includes Festival entry fee, accommodation, meals, CJCA playing shirt, CJCA baggy.
Christchurch Festival – $125 (includes festival fee, CJCA playing shirt and Festival Cap.

NEW YEAR YEAR 7 FESTIVAL 2022
This festival is open to all CJCA Boys who are currently Year 6 and moving to Year 7 at school the following year. Once again the CJCA will look to enter as many teams as we can so no-one misses out.
The draw for this event will be placed here when available.
Dates 17-20 January 2022 Monday Thursday (9.30-4pm approx.)
Venues Alternating between Polo Grounds and Mandeville (North Canterbury)
Days 1 & 2 Coaching Skill Sessions in morning followed by 20/20 games in the afternoon
Days 3 & 4 Games based on Day 1 and 2 results 35 over games TBC
Pitch Length 18m
Cost– $60 per player.
