Westport 2008 - 7th Jan to 11th Jan 2008
Rain washed out the first day and play didn't clear for play to start on the second day until 2.30pm. This meant that time didn't enable a result that might otherwise have occured in some matches. Fine weather occured thereafter with the temperature on the Thursday reaching 30 degrees. Going into the last day, Christchurch Black was leading by just a point from Canterbury Country and Southland Country. Day 5 hot and dry. See full story »

Fine sunny conditions on the first two days was followed by a rained out day on Wednesday - where each team received two points while the following two days were cooler. A very well run tournament with good playing conditions saw Christchurch Black the victor and unbeaten after a nail biting finish on the last day where Dunedin Metro threatened to upset the winner. The fielding trophy was picked up by Nelson for the 13th time. See full story »

Held at Greenmeadows on really well prepared pitches and grounds - and in fine weather, the Tournament was shared between Christchurch Black, South Canterbury and Canterbury Country while Canterbury Country took out the Eastern Southland Fielding Trophy.

A week of cloudy, damp weather greeted 14 teams. Synthetic wickets were in constant use early on. Christchurch Black were worthy winners scoring at 41 runs per wicket and claiming 70 wickets at 7.48. They were the first team to claim 27 Tournament points. Late on the final day Marlborough had been celebrating their success, but in a dream finish by hat trick taker - William Mills turned the result in ChCh Black's favour. See full story »

Ten outright wins kept the umpires busy. Nelson emerged winner ahead of Christchurch Red.

Canterbury Country prevailed just ahead of Southland. Dunedin Metro gained it's 100th tournament win while North Otago and Buller missed out on a win. Otago gained three outright wins - a record at the time.

At Burnside Oval & Ilam Fields. Rained out on the Wednesday. Central Otago won by scoring at 25.6 and picking up 57 wickets. Nelson achieved it's 100th win.

Tournament was clearly won by Dunedin Metro in making 834 @23.82 rpw. & taking 72 wickets @ 6.57. Dunedin's coach Heneghan had played for South Canterbury at Gore in 1967.
