Selector roles

The CJCA's rules (rule 16) states that nominations will be called from clubs and schools for the roles of selector/s. This normally occurs either annually or two yearly and usually in August. Nominations will include person's name, contact details, qualification for role and confirmation of their willingness to stand.

• The Convenor of Selectors is likely to be a CCA professional - mainly because of their perceived independence, high qualification and becuase this has worked very well of late - however all nominations will be considered. Additionally, a selector is normally sought to be appointed for Year 6, Year 7 and Year 8 boy players as well as two selectors for girls players. Selectors are needing to be available for trials and regional tournaments (see dates here). The CJCA's preference is for continuity with Grade Manager roles but will genuinely consider others being appointed to selector roles.
