Issue with CricHQ update Friday 9am MANUAL DRAW NOW AVAILABLE

Wednesday, 25 October 2017

As we cannot confidently say that CRICHQ will come up any time soon – or at all – we can confirm the following (attached) junior draw for this weekend.

As small adjustments need to be made this will be updated - we are now on Version 6 - 9am Friday morning.

Latest changes relate to Year 6 Section 2 - confirmation of Byes in grades with Odd numbers of teams and venue changes to Year 4 North with matches at Redwood Park now moved to St James Park

IF CRICHQ DOES COME UP IT SHOULD BE IGNORED AS WE CANNOT BE CERTAIN THAT THE MANUAL ALLOCATION OF VENUES AND IN CASE OF FEW GRADES THAT THE MATCHES IN THE DRAW ARE THE SAME AS OUR “PLAN B” DRAW WHICH IS ATTACHED.

Should CricHQ come back up our aim is to match this “Plan B” draw with what is in the system so we can continue to use it but again this is very much a wait and see prospect.

This is almost certainly mean that CricHQ live scoring or the inputting of results in the system will NOT be able to occur as normal.  So it’s back to manual scoresheets for all grades – I have this morning refreshed the scoresheets available in these grades – Kiwi, Year 3/4 and both year 5 grades with some improvements that I hope will assist scorers.

On behalf of the CJCA and those above us in the foodchain apologies for this circumstances and let’s focus on getting as many kids out enjoying cricket as possible this weekend –as well as welcoming Bishopdale Park as a new Outfield Cricket venue this week we also will see Hagley Oval used on Friday night for the first time this season and have the christening of the new artificial pitch artificial pitch at Rawhiti School – this will be used for Softer ball grades and will be a welcome addition to the pitch assets on the Eastern side of town.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
