Help for Coaches
CJCA highly recommends the courses and resources provided by CCA's highly qualified professionals. It is strongly recommended that all coaches of hard ball grades have attended the Getting Started course.

The National Bank Cricket Club are running some Super Camps for players and coaches around the country and they come to Christchurch on Tuesday 9th February at the OBC club rooms at Elmwood Park. Spaces are still available and you can see more information and register here. It will run between 1.30 and 3.00. Alec Astle will be running the course and he is an inspirational presenter. He says the following about the coaching clinic;
The clinic will be useful to junior and youth coaches. It is free, interactive and they will take away some useful ideas and resources. I am going to look at ‘What to Coach and How to Coach?’ using skills and drills and give the coaches an idea of what skills they could be expected to coach at each level of the game. They will then need to get outside and have a go at doing some of these using the example of wicketkeeping.
I hope to see some of you there.
